Verified ReviewerBad communication
The location had bad communication. I get there and they tell me that they are understaffed and the tech couldnt do both my tests.
The tech wasnt qualified They didnt call to ask if I would like to reschedule or do 1 exam and do the other another time.
I had to drink a lot of water all for nothing. Very uncomfortable and inconvenient.
- Usually pretty good
- Bad communication and wait times for people with full bladders need to be faster
Preferred solution: Better communication when scheduling and if short staffed ahead of time
User's recommendation: Make sute you call the lication directly to make sure you dont drive down for nothing.

Verified ReviewerThey have no respect for patients
made an appointment for a test that I have been trying to do for years (insurance issues). they claim to have evening and weekend hours.
lie...weekends are mri only...other tests have to be before 5. that is not evening. my test was scheduled for the day after thanksgiving. the tuesday before, while I was at work, they called and left me a message saying that I needed to bring past tests with me.
I called immediately after work and explained that I could not get the results that quickly and would need to cancel. he asked me to hold, he came back and said that they were going to request the tests from the other faculty. he put me on hold again. 25 minutes on hold, I questioned how they would have them in time because of the holiday.
he insisted that it would be fine and I should keep the 8 a.m. appointment for friday. on friday my alarm went off, my day off, and off I went to simon med. when I got there, they asked me for the old tests.
I told them that they should have them and told them the tuesday conversation. they said that there was no way for them to get the tests that quickly and they didn't know why I was told that. I had to leave without the test. I spent 25 minutes on the phone, it was an hour of my time to drive there and home for no reason at all.
now I have been on the phone for 43 minutes waiting for a supervisor. no respect for anyone's time. so sad. there has been a rep on hold with me the entire time, I can hear her breathing, her nostrils are whistling.
it is now 45 minutes.
feels like no one cares at all. don't go there.
Preferred solution: Price reduction
User's recommendation: Do not speak to the call center. They know nothing about tests. They are only trained to make appointments.

Verified Reviewer |Awful Company. Would Never Return
This place is awful. Super poorly run business.
I was referred here to get an X-ray. Inconveniently, they do not take appointments for X-rays; you have to walk in during their open hours. I called to check their open hours, but their phone number only leads to an automated system (i.e., you cannot speak to someone to ask questions) that sends you to the website. The website has office open hours posted for each location that are plain wrong.
So, when I took an afternoon off work to go to Irvine for an X-ray, I was shocked to get there and be told they weren't open for X-rays. I clarified that the website said that they are. The office staff said the company is too cheap to maintain their website and so they have not updated their office hours to be accurate. I find that totally unacceptable.
You can't be a legit business and post the wrong open hours. How many other people have wasted their days going to this shoddy establishment?
- Inaccurate info
- Untrained staff
- No office standards
Preferred solution: Apology and immediate update to your website office hours.
User's recommendation: Go to a different provider
Their scheduling process is a disaster! It took me 2 1/2 weeks & 10 calls to get it done correctly! NEVER AGAIN!
Worst mess of a so-called 'Customer Service Ever! Took 2 1/2 weeks & TEN phone calls to get it scheduled!
No one ever told me the same info twice!!!
NEVER EVER AGAIN!! Do yourself a favour & find another company!

Verified ReviewerRescheduled my wife’s MRI four times and still don’t have it
Made an appointment, then they canceled. Made another appointment, then they canceled.
Made another appointment.
Then they canceled. Made another appointment, and then they canceled.
- Decent radiology
- Poor customer service and scheduling
Preferred solution: Better service
User's recommendation: Expect to be bounced around by scheduling
Won't schedule a stat mammogram
I had breast cancer last year. I'm set up on a 6-month plan for mammograms.
I had one in April, and now they won't schedule a STAT appt for me. There is another lump that the doctor wants imaging of before surgery and they WON"T schedule it. This place sucks. They know it and won't do anything about it!!
The techs are great. It's the office staff and schedulers that are idiots.
User's recommendation: Go somewhere else

Verified ReviewerRepeated Denial of X-Ray Care (Thoracic Spine)
Ive now been turned away three times by SimonMed despite having a valid referral for a thoracic spine x-ray and being in daily pain.
Each time, I followed their instructionscalling ahead to confirm they take walk-ins, checking hours, asking specifically if they had a tech on-site for this kind of x-ray. Each time, I was misinformed or dismissed:First visit: told no qualified tech was present.Second visit: told they dont do this kind of x-ray on weekends (despite being told otherwise by customer service).Third visit: I arrived well before the stated cutoff time, only to be told the tech was too backed up and they werent taking more patients.
This isnt just a minor inconveniencethis is neglectful.
If I had something serious going on, like a tumor or spinal deterioration, this delay could impact my long-term health.
When I expressed this concern, the front desk told me my referral is good for a year. I wouldnt wish a year of untreated spinal pain on anyone.
Ive filed formal complaints with the Arizona Department of Health Services and their internal compliance office, but I want others to know: this is not a reliable place for timely, accurate, or compassionate imaging care.
Complaint
I went 15 minutes early for my appointment. The front desk girl was on the phone she told me to wait.
I sat down. She hung up and made two more call confirming appointments. Another patient walked in and she was checking him in. I went up and she looked surprised she forgot I was there.
I said never mind and left. I had been there 25 minutes and wasnt even checked in. She followed me to the car explaining she was alone. I told her Im not interested in an excuse, its your job *** need help then get it.
I already waited almost an half an hour and wasnt acknowledged. Poor client service.
I did not want to reschedule. I will go to a different imaging center.
User's recommendation: Don’t expect much.

Verified ReviewerPoor quality continues.
A week after I wrote a review about my terrible experience (4 weeks ago), Simon Med responded, saying Hello Ramona, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Someone from management will be reaching out to you about your experience.
Thank you again for your feedback.
(I guess I should have known no one from Simon Med would reach out to me. My guess is they automatically post that response to any negative review, to make review readers think they care and are taking action. Not true.)
I had to wait a month after that nightmare appointment on 5/8 to see the doctor who ordered the MRI, but when I got to his office I found out I was supposed to have brought with me a physical copy of the image file, which SIMONMED WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE HANDED TO ME AFTER THE MRI. Of course they didnt, and I wasnt aware that was the correct procedure.
The surgeons office at 1100 Van Ness Ave is literally two blocks from their office, but they are unwilling to walk it over there. Instead, their solution is to let ME correct THEIR mistake, by allowing me to drive to their facility, try to find parking, go in and wait for the file, then drive it to my doctors office and deliver it.
If you want this kind of friction-filled experience, you should go to Simon Med. Otherwise, steer clear!
Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered
User's recommendation: Find any other provider

Ignored by staff for 25 minutes. One staff there, I arrived 15 minutes early was told to wait for check in.
She proceeded to make two more phone calls confirming appointments, somebody else came in 25 minutes later and she was checking hi in. I realized she completely forgot I was there and left.
User's recommendation: Don’t go to that location.

Verified ReviewerHorrible Customer Service / Phone Service for Appointment Booking
I would have given zero stars if I had been given an option. Horrible, the lady who was on the call put me on hold, and it went on for almost two hours, just to get a response that they don't have the facility to do the testing. I asked the question at the beginning of the call.
Preferred solution: Apology

Verified Reviewer |Poorest office management in existence
It was easy to make my appointment - and then it all went south. On the morning of my appointment, I was within a few miles of the St.
Mary's office (I live an hour away) and I got a call that their CT tech was out and I had to move the appointment. Ok, did that and went to the other location - where all I did was sit. I sat for over an hour without any word until finally the receptionist told me that they couldn't proceed until they verified benefits and that they were having an issue contacting the insurance. I left.
I called my human resource manager, and they called the insurance to see what was going on. The insurance verified that they had no communication from SimonMed that day - turns out SimonMed was not calling the number on the back of my card. Rescheduled - to the original location (Wilmot). That appointment got moved.
And then I kept getting text messages that the appointment was rescheduled and rescheduled and then finally I got a call moving it to the next day. At least the receptionist and the CT tech were pretty nice.
But I think it stands, the scheduling leaves a lot to be desired. Sad though, not much choice for imaging in southern Arizona.
- Friendly receptionist and ct tech
- Everything else
Preferred solution: Nothing.
User's recommendation: Go elsewhere if you can.

Verified ReviewerRudness
Don't go
After rescheduling 3 times and driving around 40 miles each time, all I got was 3 excuses from the staff (#1 technician didn't show up, #2 machine is down, #3 waiting for insurance approval). Finally, I made it to another location in Gilbert to meet the rudest technician, a person named Jenny, who obviously hated her job and people in general.

Verified Reviewer |Branch locations are fine but the process of scheduling and the back end is a disaster
There are other medical service providers in Arizona. I have informed all of my medical care providers of the multiple issues with Simon Med and informed them not to indicate that company when requesting exams. Between SML and Simon Med in a direct comparison, SML services such as customer service, insurance billing, insurance claims, communication to the patient, ability to help the patient and ease of scheduling is head and shoulders above Simon Med on all issues in my experience.
Events like be given the wrong call back numbers from a scheduler, an inability to speak with someone who actually schedules an appointment or knows what they are doing, insurance approvals accuracy, billing accuracy, collection of information and/or orders from your doctor that are wrong, apparently are the norm. Compounding the issues is the automated phone cue which is broken, spewing voice driven computer phrases in between greetings and department selection requests. Along with their call back process, when speaking with a call center operator (who is not a scheduler), a customer must go through every single element of their information starting with your name, date of birth, address, doctor and it should stop there, but no. The call center operator (again who is not a scheduler) continues with the doctors address, doctors orders, insurance, procedure, billing and a host of other information that is not important, only to be put on hold to speak with the actual scheduler who is never available.
OK, I understand needing the information initially for verification you a patient account, but not the entire list of information every time someone needs a question answered or an appointment altered or made. What is most frustrating is Simon Med's infuriating process for a patient/customer, when that patient is trying to get something done especially when an exam is complicated or denied by an insurance company who second guesses the doctor or Simon Med. In a time when a patient/customer is in pain, discomfort or a time of real stress, we do not need a provider like Simon Med to compound our strife, we need reassurance we are in good hands and we are provided a value for the money we spend for a service... this is not Simon Med Imaging.
As a final statement to this issue, I called SimonMed main number to speak with a manager, supervisor, and/or department head and discovered you can't. I was given to an operator who is "not" a manager but an "escalation operator" to inform them of the phone cue issue that is broken and the event of being given a disconnected call back number for the scheduler. I was told "in order to speak with the manager, a request must be submitted by an "escalation operator" and it will be reviewed to see if any action will be taken...
Yeah... Thats what I call efficient nonsense.
- Local
- Inaffective as a service provider
Preferred solution: An apology and have them fix their process... Especially their phone system
User's recommendation: Personally I will no longer consider Simon Med, there are other providers who provide a value for the money spent.

Verified ReviewerCan’t even rate them. Terrible overcharged me and even called my insurance company,
6/23/25 overcharged me and even called my insurance company and still did it. Stopped payment on credit card and filed with BBB, and I will tell my cardiologist not to send people there again.
It's a scam.
Pocket money, and I will probably never get it back. I'm pissed.
- No pros all cons
- Take your money and do not refund the over payment
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Don’t go there. Scam$$$
Very unsatisfactory

How is your loss $300?
Maybe the day off that they took was unpaid plus gas cost. They could be a lawyer.
There's many reasons to answer your question. But the main question is why does that matter?
Apparently this company is pathetic with the amount of negative reviews on this site and then the heaping amount on the BBB website. There's also a possibility that you're an employee asking an irrelevant question.
